Sara Bentoumia Parkison

Sara Bentoumia Parkison is Turn Forward’s Policy and Research Manager.  She designs policy solutions to effectively and equitably combat climate change through offshore wind power, ensuring energy transitions are rooted in social justice.  As a Sea Grant Knauss Fellow in the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Sara worked with community-based organizations, state partners, developers, and other federal agencies to collaboratively create equity initiatives for offshore wind decision-making.  She also has expertise assessing industry supply chain needs through her work with the University of Delaware’s Center for Research in Wind.  Her interest in offshore wind began with her research into pressures on Mediterranean fisheries from offshore development, an issue close to her heart given her Moroccan-American heritage.
